What Are You Looking For?
The antibacterial spectrum of doxycycline hydrochloride is basically the same as that of tetracycline and oxytetracycline, and the in vivo and ex vivo antibacterial power is stronger than that of tetracycline. Microorganisms have close cross-resistance to this product with tetracycline and oxytetracycline. It is well absorbed orally. It is mainly used for some diseases caused by sensitive Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacilli with good effect.

Application
Doxycycline hydrochloride is a semi-synthetic tetracycline antibiotic that penetrates the cell membrane to bind to the 30S ribosomal subunit, interferes with tRN A/mRNA interactions, and ultimately can inhibit protein synthesis. As a broad-spectrum antibiotic and bacteriostatic agent, this antibiotic is mainly very strongly resistant to bacteria causing respiratory infections including Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. In addition, it can treat infections caused by chlamydia, Rickettsia and some spirochetes and have antigenic and anthelmintic functions. Doxycycline hydrochloride is often used to treat infections in small animals caused by a number of different microorganisms, including Bororia, leptospira, Rickettsia, chlamydia, mycoplasma, Bartonella and Bordetella.
Adverse reactions: In dogs and cats, the most common adverse reactions of oral doxycycline hydrochloride are vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. To reduce adverse reactions, no significant decrease in drug absorption was seen. Increases in liver function-related enzymes (alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase) in 40% of treated dogs. The clinical significance of increased liver function-related enzymes has not been defined.
